Key Takeaways
- Its change that needs to be supported because change triggers stress through the general adaptation syndrome
- The first phase is fight or flight, the second phase is resistance and the third is exhaustion
- If the body can be supported with the right nutrients to extend the resistance phase then it’s possible to complete the change in your life without burning out
- Liquids have a much better viability and can be absorbed by the body in minutes
- Working with natural behaviours meant a definitive timeline for taking the supplement to create a habit
- People at the end of a decade statistically go through bigger changes than at other points in their lives
- The adaptogenic ingredients like snow fungus stimulate the body’s own collagen production cycle
- It’s about working with the body from the state it’s in allowing the body to gently receive the nutrients
- Holy basil has a number of benefits that focus on the alleviation of stress
- It can protect tissue and organs from environmental stress and has benefits for memory and cognitive development
- One of the targets was to remove the wellness admin that can become a chore and having a daily dose for six months in quantities that mean people will see the benefit has been the key

About the Guest
Adam Thompson
A self-described Curious Life Calibrator, Adam is the founder of ZAAG. Supplements and is passionate about supporting and facilitating change. Having worked across multiple industries and functions, Adam is no stranger to change, yet it was only when he left his previous role as Managing Director of one of the UK’s fastest growing grocery start-ups and landed in Bali for a sabbatical that he really felt the effects of it.
Disinterested, fatigued and low in mood, the reality that he was burnt out started to dawn on him and he started to investigate the supplement space. Not satisfied with what he found, he has spent the last two years developing an entirely different proposition which helps to support the three vital wellness zones (brain, body, and spirit) during times of change, but crucially also overcomes the problems he identified with taking supplementation.
